🎙️ SWAC 2025: The Preseason Predictions Are In, and So Is the Delusion 🏈

The SWAC dropped its 2025 Predicted Order of Finish, and let’s just say—some folks are feeling themselves a little toohard. Jackson State got crowned the East Division favorite with 126 points and 16 first-place votes, while Southern strutted into the West with 120 points and 17 votes like they already booked the Celebration Bowl DJ.

It’s giving “we already printed the championship shirts.”

But let’s talk about the real tea.

Jackson State fans are out here acting like the trophy’s already in the mail. They’ve got highlight reels queued up, tailgate menus finalized, and someone’s uncle already practicing his post-game dance in church shoes.

Southern fans? They’re planning a parade route and arguing over which brass section should lead it. Meanwhile, Prairie View and Alcorn are quietly side-eyeing the whole thing like, “Y’all do know we play football too, right?”

And then there’s Florida A&M—sitting in second place in the East with 99 points and just three first-place votes. No hype. No drama. Just vibes and a schedule that looks like it was designed by someone who hates free weekends.

But here’s the twist: FAMU’s not talking. They’re training. Plotting. Hydrating. Watching game film like it’s a Marvel movie. Their quarterback’s throwing lasers, their defense is built like a brick wall with attitude, and their special teams might just teleport.

Come November, while JSU’s still flexing on Instagram and Southern’s arguing over who gets the aux cord at the tailgate, FAMU’s going to slide in, snatch the title, and leave nothing but stunned faces and broken predictions.

Because while the SWAC says Jackson State will win it all, the streets—and the scoreboard—are about to say:

Florida A&M messed around and took the crown.

And that’s on green and orange!

About Author

I’m Delante, grad student, cultural narrator, strategist, and survivor of the unspoken syllabus. My blog From the Block to the Books is more than storytelling. It’s a reckoning. A bridge between what I had to do, what I chose to chase, and what I’m building now. Everything I write is steeped in truth. I document the hustle not for applause, but so others know they aren’t alone. That ambition can coexist with past mistakes. That strategy can come from struggle. And that resilience looks good when it’s custom-fitted with intellect, culture, and control. And then there’s hip-hop—the culture, the community, the chronicles. I don’t just listen. I decode it. I live by its ethos. All things posted on this website are things that made me who I am today.
